PETALING JAYA: Mahkamah Tinggi Seremban membenarkan permohonan Setiausaha Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU) Raja Norazli Raja Nordin serta DKU memulakan prosiding komital terhadap dakwaan menghina mahkamah terhadap enam plaintif susulan melanggar perintah injunksi ad interim bertarikh 5 Jun.

Hakim Roz Mawar Rozain memutuskan demikian selepas mendengar permohonan itu pada prosiding berlangsung secara sidang video, pada 7 dan 8 Julai, lapor Sinar Harian.

Mahkamah mendapati Raja Norazli selaku defendan pertama dan DKU selaku defendan kedua berjaya mewujudkan kes prima facie bagi mendapatkan kebenaran memulakan prosiding komital terhadap Mubarak Dohak, Maarof Mat Rashid, Muhammed Abdullah, Abdul Rahim Yasin, Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus al-Qadri, dan Badarudin Abdul Khalid.

Melalui perintah berkenaan, plaintif dilarang mengadakan, memanggil, meneruskan atau menghadiri mana-mana mesyuarat DKU termasuk sidang khas yang diumumkan pada 5 Jun 2026, selain dihalang daripada menggantung, menyingkir atau mengganggu setiausaha DKU daripada menjalankan fungsi dan tanggungjawabnya mengikut Undang-undang Tubuh Kerajaan Negeri Sembilan.

Mereka juga dilarang menubuhkan atau melantik mana-mana jawatankuasa atau individu untuk mengambil alih kuasa dan fungsi setiausaha DKU, bertindak atau mengeluarkan kenyataan bagi pihak DKU, membuat atau melaksanakan sebarang keputusan berkaitan pentadbiran, tadbir urus dan hal ehwal DKU, serta mengambil apa-apa tindakan yang mengubah atau mengganggu status quo sebagaimana sebelum 21 Mei 2026.

Dalam penghakiman sama, Mahkamah Tinggi turut menolak permohonan plaintif menangguhkan prosiding komital bagi penghinaan mahkamah.

Mahkamah menetapkan permohonan substantif bagi prosiding komital itu akan didengar pada 28 Julai.

Plaintif diwakili peguam Tuan Awang Armadajaya Awang Mahmud, Mohammed Rhiza Ghazi, Firoz Hussein, Woo J Enn, Asmawi Ismail, dan Emirul Sarifudin Nor Azmi.

Sementara itu, defendan pertama dan defendan kedua diwakili Steven Thiru, Shafrin Halim, dan Gurjeevan Singh Sachdev.

Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell.
