MANILA, Philippines – As Alex Eala reveled in the enormity of her latest Wimbledon triumph, it did not take long for her to remember the task at hand.

Eala said she is far from satisfied after ending the reign of defending champion Iga Swiatek of Poland as she turns her focus to her round of 16 clash with 2024 finalist Jasmine Paolini of Italy on Monday, July 6.

“[Just] because I’m emotional does not mean I’m satisfied. So okay, next round, let’s go,” said Eala, who will see action in the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.

Eala is no stranger to upsetting Paolini.

The first time they met on the WTA Tour, the Filipina scored a 6-1, 7-6 (5) upset of the current world No. 17 and 13th seed Italian on the hard courts of the Dubai Tennis Championships in the United Arab Emirates in February.

But Paolini knows what it takes to reach the Wimbledon final.

Paolini came within a set of her first Grand Slam title after reaching last year’s Wimbledon final before falling 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to the Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova.

“I think she’s a great player. She’s a great fighter, especially. It was not an easy match in Dubai for me. It will not be an easy match here either. But then again, every match is a different story so I’m going to do my best to prepare for that one and focus all my energy in trying to improve and do better,” said Eala of Paolini.

Eala has enjoyed an outstanding grass-court season, carrying a 12-3 record on the surface into the fourth round.

The Filipina opened the grass-court swing by ruling the Birmingham Open in Great Britain then went as far as the semifinals in the Berlin Tennis Open in Germany, where she beat a pair of top-10 players in Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina and Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina.

Paolini, meanwhile, crashed out of the opening round of her lone tuneup event for Wimbledon, losing in the round of 32 of the Eastbourne Open in Great Britain.

“I think the game of Eala fits very well to grass. She showed a great level also in Berlin. I think she’s a very dangerous player here,” said Paolini.

“Let’s see how we’re going to prepare for the match. I already played here in Dubai this year and I think it’s going to be a tough one. She can play really well.” – Rappler.com

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
