Vietnam Explores Independent Digital Asset Regulatory Framework to Modernize Financial System
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Vietnam’s Decision No. 1413/QD-TTg, signed in July 2026, proposes exploring an independent regulatory framework for digital assets as part of broader efforts to modernize the financial system and align more closely with global markets. Vietnam is also advancing the development of international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang while promoting fintech and capital markets. The initiative indicates that Vietnam is seeking to establish a more independent digital asset regulatory structure alongside upgrades to traditional financial infrastructure.
Kyrgyzstan Ends National Stablecoin USDKG Operations and Moves to Liquidate EVA and Coin Nomad Exchange
According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Kyrgyz government has decided to terminate operations of the national stablecoin Gold Dollar (USDKG) and instructed the Ministry of Finance to liquidate its issuer EVA as well as the country’s first state-owned crypto exchange, Coin Nomad Exchange. USDKG was launched in November 2025 as a state-issued stablecoin backed by physical gold and pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar, with registered issuance of slightly more than 50 million tokens on the Tron blockchain. PAPER will begin with an initial supply of zero, with no pre-mine, team, or VC allocation. According to Odaily Planet Daily, Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson said many tokenized funds are simply digital replicas of traditional financial products and fail to fully use blockchain’s advantages in settlement and operational efficiency. The firm’s BENJI fund records asset ownership directly on public blockchains and supports yield calculations by the second, with transaction costs of about $1.13 per trade compared with roughly $150 under traditional methods. Ethereum Glamsterdam Upgrade Raises Sepolia Block Gas Limit to Nearly 200 Million
According to CoinDesk, Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade has raised the Sepolia testnet block Gas limit from roughly 60 million to nearly 200 million as developers test whether higher capacity can support more payments and transactions. Early test blocks used only 26% to 46% of available capacity, while a six-minute voting round produced all planned blocks and saw 99.97% of eligible staking weight participate in finalization. The Hoodi testnet upgrade is tentatively scheduled for October 27, while a mainnet activation date has not yet been determined. The upgrade also adjusts transaction processing and data-access costs.
