Rumors fly as JD Vance abruptly cancels Colorado event: 'Perhaps he’s worried'

Vice President JD Vance cancelled a speaking event in Colorado on Thursday without any explanation, according to reports.

Vance's abrupt schedule change was announced by the Denver GOP in a post on X, Axios reported. Vance had originally planned to speak at All Trucks and Trailer Parts in Denver on Thursday afternoon following his appearance at the Air Force Academy graduation at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs.

"The high-profile visit would have been a rare stop for a top Republican leader in solid-blue Colorado," according to Axios.

It's unclear what Vance will say during his comments at the Air Force Academy graduation and what prompted the sudden cancellation — it could come down to fear over awkward questions about his stance on the Iran war and his previous comments denouncing Middle Eastern military conflicts, David Gardner, The Daily Beast's D.C. Bureau Chief, wrote in a post for The Swamp, The Daily Beast's Substack.

"Perhaps he’s worried someone might ask him how he really feels," Gardner wrote.
