PHILIPPINE National Bank (PNB) has strengthened its partnership with JCB International (JCB) to expand access to its services via worldwide acceptance.
PNB and the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., Ltd., Japan’s only international payment brand, formalized the partnership through the signing of a memorandum of agreement on May 19, the Philippine bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
This partnership brings together PNB’s strong local presence with JCB’s global expertise in payment solutions.
PNB said this will enable them to bring financial services that cater to their customers’ lifestyle while also strengthening its position in the Philippine payments landscape.
“We value partnerships built on trust and shared purpose. In JCB, we have found a partner that shares our focus on innovation and customer-centered service. Collaborations such as this allow us to deliver more relevant, secure, and globally connected solutions as our customers’ needs evolve,” PNB President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Edwin R. Bautista said.
“Today’s event marks the beginning of a meaningful new chapter for JCB in the Philippines through our partnership with Philippine National Bank, which is now joining as an additional issuing partner,” said Masaki Yokawa, JCB president and CEO. “Through this partnership, PNB JCB cardholders can enjoy a more rewarding experience in Japan, with accelerated rewards earning and exclusive JCB privileges, including airport lounge access, dining offers, and merchant promotions across the country.”
