Pi Network users are being urged to remain patient as the network continues its gradual rollout of Protocol V25.2. According to community updates and official upgrade guidance, the transition from version 24.1 to 25.2 is being deployed in batches. This means many node operators may not immediately receive access to the upgrade. The rollout comes as the Pi Core Team works through its planned protocol migration roadmap. This requires nodes to move sequentially from earlier versions before eventually reaching V26.0.
Community updates indicate that some Pioneer nodes are temporarily unable to upgrade. Because the rollout is being distributed gradually across the network. Users running Pi nodes on Windows or Mac can trigger the update by restarting their Pi Desktop client, which automatically checks for available upgrades.
However, operators have been advised not to restart all nodes simultaneously. Doing so could create unnecessary traffic disruptions and place additional strain on network infrastructure during the migration process. The current upgrade path remains mandatory and sequential. All nodes are expected to move from version 24.1 to 25.2 before any future transition to V26.0 can occur.
One of the most important reminders issued to the community is that operations between versions 25.2 and 26.0 are currently prohibited. The Pi Core Team has not yet released instructions for the next stage of the migration process.
As a result, node operators are being encouraged to avoid attempting unofficial upgrades or modifications ahead of the network-wide rollout. According to the published migration schedule, V25.2 remains the active upgrade phase. At the same time, the timeline for V26.0 has yet to be announced.
The upgrade itself is expected to be quick, with most migrations completing in under five minutes. Operators can verify completion by comparing their node’s ledger status with the official Mainnet API.
While the technical upgrade continues, Pi Network market performance has remained under pressure. At the time of writing, PI is trading near $0.1285.

Analysts note that trading volume surged significantly during the decline. This suggests strong selling activity amid broader market weakness.
For followers of Pi Network news today, the successful completion of the V25.2 migration. That is viewed as an important milestone ahead of future protocol upgrades and ecosystem developments. As the network prepares for V26.0 and continues promoting initiatives such as Pi App Studio and ecosystem growth, node stability remains a priority. For now, Pioneers are being encouraged to follow official guidance and complete V25.2 upgrades when available. While waiting for further instructions before taking any action related to the next protocol phase.
